Meet the Yogis

DOCTOR SARA LEWANDOWSKI

Guest Instructor

Dr. Sara Lewandowski DNP, MS, RN, CNE, HNB-BC, NC-BC, RYT is an assistant professor of nursing who has over 25 years of nursing experience in education and clinical practice. She earned her masters degree in nursing administration and post masters in nursing education from Texas Womans University, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Lewandowski also holds certification as a nurse educator through the National League for Nursing and is double board -certified as a holistic nurse and nurse coach. She earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification
through Shanti Tree Yoga. She was a yoga student for eight years at the studio where she
taught her first class. She loves to infuse her diverse nursing teaching and practice experience into her yoga classes.
Her yoga classes are a blend of hatha and restorative, with a focus on the healing and whole person experience.
Dr. Lewandowski has also published and presented internationally, with a passionate focus on positively impacting nursing education. She serves on American Holistic Nurses Association as an elected national leader for the leadership nominating committee. She uses inspirational motivational techniques and servant leadership to bring her best self to her life, wherever that may lead.

MACKENZIE WALMESLEY

Founder

Mackenzie Walmesley is a 200HR- RYT Certified Yoga Instructor and 150HR Certified Meditation Teacher. Mackenzie believes that every moment is precious and is always looking to deepen her understanding of life. With over 10 years of yoga, and meditation practice and over 6 years teaching experience of both subjects, Mackenzie provides her knowledge and passion in every class she teaches. Her strength is her ability to create a safe, and calm place for people to unwind and truly unleash all the burdens they may carry to class that day. Her favorite tools to use in her classes are her fine quartz meditation bowls and quartz tuning forks. She believes this helps students submerge themselves into a healthy, meditative trance. She is an indispensable member of our family, and Pleasant Vibes Yoga wouldn’t be the same without them.
